WHAT IS THE RAYNE DISC?
Our rayne disc is a reusable menstrual disc made of soft silicone that is inserted into the vagina like a tampon. Unlike tampons, the disc does not absorb the liquid and therefore does not dry out your vaginal flora.
our disc has a capacity of 5-7 normal tampons. This means that the disc can be worn for up to 12 hours before it needs to be emptied.
rayne disc is a comfortable and sustainable alternative to pads and tampons, as the material is odorless and biocompatible. Unlike menstrual cups, the disc does not need negative pressure to hold its position and sits in the vaginal vault just below the cervix, where the rim and shape ensure that it sits securely. This also means that it can be worn comfortably during sports, hiking, swimming and sex.

HOW DO I USE IT?
WHAT MATERIAL IS THE RAYNE DISC MADE FROM.
Our rayne disc is made of 100% medical-grade silicone that will not deteriorate during its lifetime. The silicone prevents the growth of toxic bacteria and does not disturb the natural pH value of the vagina.
It is the first disc to be developed and manufactured in Switzerland.
HOW MUCH LIQUID CAN THE DISC HOLD?
Our disc holds up to 50 ml, which corresponds to 5-7 normal tampons.
CAN I REALLY HAVE SEX WITH THE RAYNE DISC?
Yes you can!
The ability to wear the disc during sex is one of its advantages. Its flat shape and placement means it won't get in the way of your intimacy.
However, please note that our disc is not a substitute for contraceptives.
HOW DO I CLEAN MY DISC?
During your period, you can rinse them with water or use them with a fragrance-free, pH-neutral soap.
Between each cycle, you should disinfect them in boiling water for at least 5 minutes. Once dry, simply store them in a cool, dry place in the bag provided.
Never store the disc in an airtight container.
AND HOW DO I EMPTY AND CLEAN RAYNE DISC WHEN I'M ON THE ROAD?
If you are on the road, you have two easy ways to empty the disC:
- You may have noticed at home that the disc empties itself on the toilet. When you pee, the pelvic floor muscles contract, which causes the disc to shift so that the menstrual fluid drains out on its own.
- If your disc does not empty on its own, you can also push it briefly yourself. To do this, pull it slightly out of position with a finger before peeing. The disc should then empty on its own. Don't forget to push it back into its correct position afterwards.
HOW DOES THE DISC STAY IN PLACE?
Due to its position close to the cervix, the disc is held in place by the pubic bone and its round shape. Unlike cups, it does not require suction.
WHAT DOES AUTO-DUMPING MEAN?
Auto-dumping can occur during urination when you tense your pelvic floor muscles. This allows the disc to shift slightly to empty its contents. If the disc does not return to its position on its own, you can use a clean finger to push it back. With practice, you can use this technique every time.
HOW LONG CAN I WEAR THE DISC?
Our disc can be worn for up to 12 hours. However, we recommend emptying it at least every 8 hours, especially if there is heavy bleeding.
CAN I WEAR THE DISC IF I HAVE AN IUD?
Our disc should not affect your IUD. Exceptions are possible, and it is best to ask your doctor beforehand if you are unsure.
